Car Insurance Smart (Car Insurance). Difference between A FORD MUSTANG V6 And a FORD MUSTANG GT?

Difference between A FORD MUSTANG V6 And a FORD MUSTANG GT? Besides the GT seeming to sell for a lot more money no MATTER WHAT THE YEAR OF A FORD MUSTANG. What Exactly is the difference and does the GT go faster and if so why? Thanks in advance

The GT is always a V8 that has a substantial power advantage over the V6. The GT also typically has more options and a better interior package with more supportive seats and better materials. It also has a stronger rear axle, stronger transmission, and a more sporty suspension that handles better. It also has larger front and rear brakes. Typically, the GT also has larger diameter wheels and wider tires stock than the V6. There are also visual differences, such as on the newer cars the driving lights in the grille, and older cars the hood scoop and of course GT badges, the wheels and dual exhaust are also giveaways. the basic difference is a different engine the 2011 mustang gt is a 5.0L v8 engine with 412hp and a 4.3 second 0-60 time, the 2011 mustang has a 3.7L v6 engine with 305hp and a 5.1 0-60 time. The GT also has a lot better options available for it from the factory the GT is a V8 (meaning it 2 more cylinders than the V6) which means you gain power but lose what little fuel economy the V6 had 2 cylinders and 1 tampon holder. The v6 mustangs are (arguably) made for women...you don't want one, there's no significant difference in gas mileage (+-5mpg) between the two but there's a big difference in performance. What you want is a gt, svt cobra, roush, saleen, or shelby; depending on your wallet. The GT is a V8. And has several other suspension and performance upgrades. Yes it goes MUCH faster.

returning used vehicle recently bought from a dealer? i just bought a used 2009 mitsubishi outlander last friday and found out it was a rental car. i checked the car (i could have checked it before the purchase! i was so dumb i trusted them too much considering their BIG name) and i found dusts (as thick as you can imagine) everywhere even underneath the seats and inside compartments and hidden areas. looks like the car has been to the outback for months and not well taken care of. the previous owner (car rental) has its own service centre and the maintenance of the vehicle is not clearly stated. can i return the vehicle to the dealer? or demand an exchange at least? i forgot to mention the odometer reads almost 70K for two years of use from the previous owner. car insurance.

Squealing noise on 1999 Mitsubishi Galant VR4? Hey my Galant has an annoying squeal it makes when i do a full lock, I'm guessing my power steering belt is loose, but i'm not sure which belt operates the power steering as there are 2 belts next to each other. I can half twist one of the belts with my thumb and index finger which people have said is the right tension, while the other belt i could barely twist it at all, maybe too tight? also noticed the belt isn't sitting on the center of the pulley? its like to the side if you know what i mean, But my problem is I cant find a way to loosing tension on the second belt.. the first belt with tension adjuster and bolt loose i could move it higher or lower to tighten or loosen belt, as with the second one i have no clue where to find the bolts to loosen them.. Can anyone give me real good instructions as to where it is? maybe pictures too? will give 10 points to best answer :) thanks car insurance.

Smart . How to Start a Car in the Winter

Starting your car in winter isn't really any different than it is any other time of year, but there are some steps you can take to make sure it starts. Adverse winter weather conditions cause more stress on the battery, coolant, engine oil and other components and fluids that are designed to operate under better conditions. Preparing your car properly for winter will help ensure it starts no matter what the weather is like.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Block heater
Coolant
Winter washer fluid
Battery charger
Battery booster

Step by Step :
1
Have a block heater installed on your car if you do not have the luxury of a heated garage--starting a car in a controlled environment offers you the best chance of successful ignition. A block heater is an electrical box designed to warm the engine block. An electrical outlet plugs into an exterior grade extension cord and keeps the engine oil, coolant and battery warm. They cost a little bit of money, but the dividends they pay to ensure you can get to where you need to be is priceless.
2
Have the battery checked before the weather turns bad. Your battery requires more cold cranking amps--required to crack the starter against the flywheel and turn the engine over--in the winter than it does during any other time of year. Although only a couple hundred cold cranking amps are required to start almost any engine during warm or cool weather, a compromised battery at the low end of its output will be severely tested and can easily fail.
3
Have your alternator and electrical system tested by a local repair shop while you're having the battery checked. Many handheld battery testers at repair shops go beyond just checking the battery. They can determine if there is a problem in the electrical system, and although they might not be able to condemn the alternator, they can determine if something other than the battery is causing a deficiency on the starting or electrical system. An alternator is designed to restore amps to the battery but will not fully recharge the battery once it's operating.
4
Have the antifreeze checked for both pH balance and temperature. People who live in regions of severe winter weather often have the habit of adding straight antifreeze. This can lessen its effectiveness as much as too little concentrated antifreeze. An equal mix of water and antifreeze will properly assure the correct pH balance and temperature required for the car. Many cars call for a certain grade antifreeze, and it's important that the right type is being used. Refer to the fluid specifications chart in the owners manual.
5
Add isopropyl alcohol or use winter grade windshield washer fluid to the washer reservoir. You need windshield washer fluid most in the winter, and summer grade fluid will freeze solid and render the washer inoperable. Although this might not seem as important as starting your car, there's nothing more dangerous than driving when you cannot see properly. Have the wipers checked for cracks or rips while you're at it and replace them if necessary.
6
Use an alcohol grade dry gas product for your car. Most cars today are fuel-injected, and some might claim adding dry gas is unnecessary. But extreme cold and warming will still cause condensation in the fuel lines and fuel system. There are products to comply with fuel injected systems that can be used safely and effectively. Read the labels of the dry gas before purchasing to ensure it is correct for your car and will not harm the fuel injectors.
7
Start the car as usual by turning the ignition key. It might be sluggish if really cold, but a block heater or a car parked in a controlled environment will rarely give you problems. If neither are available and the engine will not turn over, applying a battery charger or battery booster might help assist the battery with the necessary cold cranking amps required to started the engine.
8
Allow time between unsuccessful starts for the starter to cool down. Repeatedly trying to crank an engine will rapidly heat up the starter and can easily compromise its function. In cold weather, it won't take long for the starter to cool down, but continuously cranking it can easily overheat and damage it.
9
Step on the gas pedal once or twice to inject fuel into the injectors if you're still unsuccessful. Although not required for fuel-injected vehicles, allowing some fuel into the injectors may help turn the car over. Do not continuously depress the accelerator, or you can easily flood the injectors and render a successful ignition difficult or impossible.

Smart . Car Winter Storage Tips

Many drivers take their cars off the road to avoid harsh winter weather, but improper storage can lead to as much, if not more, damage than exposure to the winter elements. Taking a few critical considerations for automotive winter storage can make the springtime return to service virtually trouble free.
Clean the Interior
Pests are a major consideration in stored vehicles, and some pests can actually damage a vehicle's interior. Before storing the car for the winter, thoroughly detail all surfaces--including under the seats--to remove any residue, spills, dropped food or other scraps that may seem interesting to insects and animals seeking food and warmth during the winter. For some extra security, consider adding a couple of boxes of d-CON or other pest repellent while the car is in storage.
Consider the Elements
Even if the car is to be stored in a garage, a quality car cover likely will prevent erosion from dust, wind, sand, the sun and other natural elements. Be certain to securely attach the car cover at all latch points, as a car cover flapping in the wind can quickly scratch and damage expensive paint jobs. If the car cover is not waterproof, be sure the car is located somewhere with enough sunlight to dry any moisture that may accumulate.
Disconnect the Battery
While this step may seem like a minor consideration, car computers can become erratic and even damaged when faced with a diminished source of power. Since car electronics continue to draw a small amount of electricity even when not in use, a stored car can drain even a fresh battery in a matter of weeks. Before disconnecting the battery for storage, though, be certain to write down any radio or security codes that may be required to restore full operation in the springtime.
Take the Tires Off the Ground
If possible, and if allowed by local ordinances, consider jacking the car up and using either jack stands or concrete blocks to keep the tires off the ground. If the car is in storage more than a month and is not driven, tires may develop flat spots that create a rough ride when the car is returned to service. It may also be a good idea to reinspect tires before attempting to drive on them after storage, as dry rot can become a serious problem.

You can find instructions for checking tire pressure, reading treads for clues, and other work that you can do on your tires in the "Caring for Your Tires" section, later in this chapter. Tips for Buying Tires Before you rush out and buy a set of tires, you have a couple of other things to consider. Tire wear is affected by a number of factors besides construction: the condition of the vehicle's brake system and suspension system; inflation and alignment; driving and braking techniques; driving at high speeds, which raises tire temperatures and causes them to wear prematurely; how great a load you carry; road conditions; and climate. Here are some of the types of tires that you may want to consider: Basic all-season tires are standard equipment on most cars. The speed rating (see the "Speed rating" section earlier in the chapter) is usually S or T. If "M+S" (mud and snow) is printed on the sidewall, the tire will perform well in inclement weather without the need for snow tires. Touring tires are generally more expensive than basic all-season tires. Whether they're worth the money depends on the individual product. These tires usually are speed-rated S or T. Performance tires are designed for people who drive "aggressively." They perform better in terms of braking and cornering but are usually noisier and wear out more quickly. They are usually speed-rated H and have a wide, squatty profile. A QA Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System 890 Car Insurance 2009 dodge 251513

Ultra-high performance tires have both the positive and the negative aspects of performance tires to a greater degree: They go faster, brake and handle better in wet and dry conditions, but ride less comfortably and wear out even faster. They are even wider and are usually speed-rated V or Z. * light-truck tires are intended for use on light trucks and SUVs. They come in a variety of styles designed for normal conditions, driving on- or off-road, or both. The thicker treads on the off-road variety offer better traction on unpaved surfaces. Light-truck tires also vary for carrying normal, heavy, and extra-heavy loads. Snow tires may be better than all-season tires for driving in mountainous areas with heavy snowfall, but they're noisy and don't handle as well on dry roads, so use them only when necessary. * "Run-flat" tires can be driven on without any air pressure inside the tire. Run-flat equipped vehicles may not even come with a jack or spare tire. (If you're driving a 1997 or newer Chevrolet Corvette or a similarly equipped new vehicle, you probably have this special type of radial tire.) The sidewalls have specially compounded inserts that prevent the tire from caving in when the tire loses air pressure. You can drive some run-flat tires up to 50 mph for 50 miles or more without further damaging the tire.

Smart . Can you get a Bugatti veyron on need for speed undercover on psp?

no you can not. GMC 3500 Bonus Cab.

Running on a run-flat at high speeds for a long period can damage them, so car manufacturers incorporate a warning system. For example, the Corvette has tire pressure sensors at each wheel so that the driver can be warned when one or more tires are flat. Because the driver can't feel any difference when a run-flat goes flat, a warning light illuminates on the instrument panel, signaling the driver to limit his or her driving speed and distance to avoid further damage to the tire or wheel. Before making a decision about a particular type of tire, take a close look at your driving habits: Are you hard on tires? If you tend to "burn rubber" when cornering, starting, and stopping, you know where that rubber comes from. A pair of cheaply made tires will wear out quickly, so buy the best quality you can afford. Do you drive a great deal and do most of your driving on high-speed free ways? A tire with a harder surface will take longer to wear out under these conditions. Do you drive a lot on unpaved rocky roads, carry heavy loads, or leave your car in the hot sun for long hours? You'll need higher-quality tires that

have the stamina to endure these challenges. What's the weather like in your area? Today, front-wheel drive vehicles with high-tech all-season tires get better traction than the old snow tires, which you had to replace when warm weather set in. However, if you drive under .Chapter 19: Checking Your Tires, Alignment, and Steering extreme conditions, you may want to check out tires designed for them: If it rains a lot, look for rain tires with super-wide grooves in the treads. For places with lots of snow or icy hills, look for "M+S" (mud and snow) on the sidewall. Do you drive mostly in local stop-and-go traffic, with many turns? Softer tires with wider treads will suit you best. How long do you intend to keep your car? Putting a pair of expensive tires on a vehicle that you intend to get rid of in 10,000 or 20,000 miles is foolish. Oh, it's possible to put well over 100,000 miles on a vehicle — especially if you maintain it properly — but if you have a relatively old vehicle with many miles on it already, and you don't intend to keep it very long, I wouldn't buy a pair of expensive mega-mile tires for it. Your car may surprise you and outlive its tires, but chances are that it won't. Similarly, it's foolish to put high-performance tires on a vehicle that will be driven mostly at normal speeds in city and highway traffic. On the other hand, if you intend to keep your vehicle for a few years, you'll save money in the long run by opting for more expensive, longer-lasting tires than "cheapos" or tires rated for less than 40,000 miles. Cheap tires wear out more quickly and cost more in the long run if you figure in the cost of buying, mounting, and balancing that second set. What's more, if you suffer a blowout or your tires fail to grip the road, you'll pay a great deal more if your vehicle — or you — is injured. If you drive only a couple of thousand miles a year, don't expect a pair of 40,000-mile radials to last forever. Rubber treads tend to rot eventually because of the ozone in the air, which causes cracks and hard spots in the sidewalls — a condition called ozone checking. For this reason, if you've used your tires for more than 40,000 miles, even if the treads are in good shape, have the tires checked to make sure that deteriorating rubber hasn't made them prone to blowouts and leaks. In addition to knowing which kind of tire is best for your car and understanding the tire codes (explained in the section called "The Secrets on Your Sidewalls, Revealed!"), keep the following tips in mind when you shop for tires: V You can find the proper tire size for your car in the owner's manual or on a sticker affixed to the vehicle. If neither exists, ask your dealer.
